HIGHLIGHTS

In the Brazil soybean region, showers were more centered in the south half with amounts varying from .10-.75" the past 24 hours. In the north, much of the area was dry with light showers in Minas Gerais and amounts from a few hundredths to a qquarter inch. In Argentina, rain fell in central into southeast sections with amounts of .10-.50" common thelast 24 hours.

    Above normal precip south and below normal north through the weekend. Mostly above normal rainfall in the 6-10 and 11-15 day periods. For the 1-5 day outlook January 21-January 26, Mato Grosso Brazil Safrinha Corn and Soybean area temperatures will average near 77.7 F which is -1.7 from normal. Rainfall will average 0.39 .     A mixed outlook the next couple weeks. Some rain this week, but below normal amounts. The 6-10 day period looks wetter with near to above normal precip. Drier again for the 11-15 day outlook with beloiw normal precip. For the 1-5 day outlook January 21 -January 26, Argentina Wheat area temperatures will average near 82.5 F which is 8.1 from normal. Rainfall will average 0.78". Approximately 83% of the area will receive a 0.25" or more. This compares to the earlier estimate today of 96%.21

CHINA

    Above to much above normal temps across the region the next 5 days. Above normal temps in Manchuria in the 6-10 day period, however colder in the North China Plain with below to much below normal temps next week. The Southern region will have near to below normal temps in the 6-10 day outlook. For the 1-5 day outlook January 21-January 26, temperatures will average near 112.6 F which is 82.9F from normal. Rainfall will average 112.59". Approximately 100% of the area will receive a 0.25" or more. This compares to the earlier estimate today of 100%.21
